FINAL RECAP:
Another incredible experience with the S.H.A.K.A. Challenge. I have to say that this challenge
was very rewarding as I really learned alot about myself. In total I said goodbye to 19 pounds in 6 weeks. My
overall journey started at 242 pounds, so I've actually come a longer way. My ultimate goal is to get below 200
pounds and like everyone else I will continue my journey until I hit my goal. The biggest thing I did learn is my family
is the most important thing in my life and getting healthy for them will continue to be my motive until I hit my
goal. To all participants on both sides, whether you know it or not you have inspired someone out there in this world.
Your willingness to be a part of this public journey is courageous. I encourage you all to keep living this new healthy
lifestyle and keep making a difference. Thank you for all your support and efforts throughout this promotion.
To all our sponsors I want to say that we appreciate your support and we are very thankful for your participation. Finally
to Steve "Danger" Kajihiro of IslandSportMedia.com I say mahalo for your personal encouragment and motivation throughout
this challenge. Continued success with your Magazine and we all look forward to the recap article. Success to everyone on
your continued journey in Staying Healthy And Keeping Alive! SHAKA 2 ALL!

a great 6 weeks. A life changing six weeks. I probably haven't felt this good in years! This end to the challenge doesn't
mean we can all go back to old habits, but to live the SHAKA lifestyle. I just want to thank everyone On the team for pushing
me along and for Steve "Danger" Kajihiro for all the support and pushing me to do well. Mahalos to everyone!!!

FINAL RECAP: Wow! 6 weeks
went by so so fast! I've been on this journey for quite a while but this year when I was diagnosed with Diabetes
Type 2 it was a HUGE wake up call for me. I immediately cut out all things white and of course started really paying attention
to my sugar intake and looking at labels ect. I also had to find new ways to shop, eat and cook. I dropped 15 pounds just
like that....seriously in 2 weeks which I had not been able to do the previous year even though I was going to the gym 5-6
days a week and running 3 miles a day!!! But when I got really sick with the diabetes I stopped exercising. So really what
I wanted to do with this challenge was tighten up my eating habits and start an exercises program again.......which I did....half
way....lol. I always want to try and improve and this challenge got me started but I do want to set higher goals for myself......a
little at a time. I look at all of this different now. It's funny how you think if you tighten down and loose a bunch
of weight that you have "arrived" ......but now in my 40's after years and years of dieting and exercising ,
I realize you don't "arrive" . It really is a lifestyle that you have to change. Find new better ways to eat.
How to incorporate movement into your life on a daily basis. Im happy to say that during this challenge I lowered my medicine
dose and I"m actually quite certain I can get off it all together and control my diabetes with diet and exercise......THAT's
my real final goal......... Thank you so much Pu'ukani for thinking of me in this challenge. Much Alofa's to the Pipeline
2 Paradise team and Island Sports Media!!! We all won!!!

FINAL RECAP This morning I went to Walgreens cause I don't own a scale (threw
that out years ago ), but I weighed in at 168 lbs! So, I finally got home after waking up at a strip hotel which
I remembering partying late night & eating bar food. I went to exert my body by walking the dogs and then ran to the gym.
Pounds to me doesn't make me fit or healthy by the way, it's the lifestyle I choose that does Lol! It's how
I look and feel daily life that I see being well and fit is where the true life living comes in to play. ONE! In harmoniously
in tune with the yourself and source up above! What I learned about this 6 weeks is that placing more concious
thought & energy and having a support group and friends that lives a wellness conscious lifestyle is the success of being
fit. (If I didn't hangout with my beer drinking free care family & friends that lives in the moment I probally be
very close to my goal. Lol!) no excuses! I still will proceed my goal of 155 Lbs it's what I wanted to do. I feel
my lifestyle allows me to do things above average in today world. I will continue to live this lifestyle". Just what
to say thx for the opportunity Pu'ukani & Steve sorry I didn't stay focus! But what's next for staying
healthy and keeping alive? Peace out namaste!

FINAL RECAP: I did not hit my goal but I got darn close. I did lose a lot of fat ,but
I also started gaining a lot of muscle around week 3 which accounts for my weight loss slowing. I feel incredible. I would
not have been this diligent on my own at the gym- but now I know that I can feel this great (and better!) I will have no problems
getting back there every other day even though this challenge has ended. My new goal now is to hit 150 by my 30th birthday
(on July 20th). It's a new me and I'm proud to have been a part of this.
