On the morning of December 24th, 2007 the Lord called my mom Noralin Sebala, home to Heaven. There hasn't
been a day that has gone by that I don't think of her. Mom was a dialysis patient for several years and it was
this complicated condition that ultimately lead to her heart failing on Christmas eve.
I have to admit at the time not only was my heart broken, but my faith was shaken. Now thinking back
at the very moment she passed I realized the Lord was there amongst us and his healing hands were upon us. Our Lord
Jesus allowed us, her 3 children (my sister Lisa, brother Val, and myself) to be there as she took her last breath.
It was a sad moment, but at the very same time it was special for all of us to be there surrounding her. We all knew
that she was no longer suffering and at that very moment she was in Heaven, front seat-center for our Lord's birthday.
What a redeeming thought that was for all of us.
On behalf of the Sebala ohana I want to say mahalo nui loa to all our family and friends both here in Las
Vegas and in Hawaii who have helped us through this tough time. We love every single one of you and we thank you
for all your prayers and thoughts. For every phone call made, every e-mail sent, every hug given, every prayer
said, we are truly grateful!
Over the next few weeks I will be creating a video collage in memory of my mom. Check back soon
in celebration of her life and in loving memory of our beloved mother.
